  1. Phyllobates Bicolor

Starting to colour up nicely there.
  2. best moss to use

Hi, The only moss I have ever had any success with has hitchhiked in on orchids that I have purchased, it needs to be kept wet and have good lighting, it only really took off when I upgraded my lights from t5s to higher output leds and only really seems to grow near the roots of the orchids (wetter here due to watering), unfortunately I'm unsure of the species (could even just be sphagnum). Tropical rather than local moss will probably fare better, hopefully some one with more moss growing experience will chime in on the subject. Cheers.
  3. merry christmas

Merry Christmas to everyone here, hope you all have a great new year.
  4. other food to feed

Bean beetles, woodlice, springtails, pea aphids, firebrats are all good feeders to add to your flies and crickets mate.
  5. treated water how safe

I've used treated tap water in the past and it's safe for use with amphibians, these days I use ro as it helps cut down on mineral deposits on the glass and plant leaves.
  6. Thrifty duo viv

Looking good so far, I'd like to try and build a viv one day.
  7. Happy Birthday Nick

    Happy Birthday.
  8. Terribilis build

Bit of a let down on the terribs there mate, I'm sure you'll be happy with the bicolor though, they're great frogs too.
  9. Good days frogging

How many tads on his back mate? Looks like a party! Glad the froglets will be going to another good home, they're gonna love that viv.
  10. Phyllobates Bicolor

HI John, I haven't received any other PMs in my inbox since our correspondence yesterday evening. When was the last time you sent a message? Cheers.
  11. Anyone keep these? I'm considering a pair for my next frogs. Would probably go for at least a 60x40x40. Care seems to be similar to terribilis, I guess these are supposed to be just as greedy?
  12. Phyllobates Bicolor

Growing like little weeds, not surprised though, they're like bottomless pits.
  13. Terribilis build

    Nicely done mate.
  14. More celebrating mediocrity!

Good stuff mate, always nice to see.
  15. Terribilis build

Looks great John, I like the rock beach idea.
  16. Phyllobates Bicolor

A few more leaving the water today.
  17. Hey everyone

Hi Dylan, Welcome to the site.
  18. Phyllobates Bicolor

These are doing great and are starting to colour up a bit now, I love how they are already showing different hues of yellow/orange.
  19. Phyllobates Bicolor

I managed to get a photo of one of the males transporting some tadpoles this evening.
  20. Stranger things!

What a beaut! Thanks for the update.
  21. Cork trunk build

    Beautiful frogs you have there.
  22. Phyllobates Bicolor

They'll be three months old in November mate. Going to be asking £30 each for these or £25 for four or more. There will be three hopefully ready in November and then more hopefully ready in in December/January, I'll have to see how mature they are at the time though as I want them to have a good start and this is my first time raising them. I'll be posting an ad in the classifieds in due course.
  23. Phyllobates Bicolor

No worries Rob, I'll save two for you.
  24. Phyllobates Bicolor

Yes, some should hopefully be ready to go in November. They are great frogs for sure, I've really been captivated since first seeing them too.
  25. Phyllobates Bicolor

They're smashing through the dusted Hydei already.
