looking great they will love those rocks, *your aviator is quite disturbing though
  6. Stranger things!

    very cool John!
  7. Peperomia albovittata

the pilea deressa will spread quite rapidly i found cuttings are enough to get it started don't need to plant the pot. Albovittata will also do well just be careful to remove and commercial soil from the plant.
  8. Cork trunk build

I don't blame you, thank you for posting so far I have enjoyed your images.
  9. Cork trunk build

great job so far whats going in there?
  10. which plants

I don't think mixing is a big issue if you know what your doing and there's enough space. It's something people new to the hobby are keen on and most experienced breeders go against that as some combination of frogs won't work out in the long term. I would say that a major joy from the hobby is breeding and watching courting behavior from the frogs so you would miss out on that in a all male setup.
  11. which plants

Ok so back to plants if you buy them from a dart frog shop like http://www.rainforestvivs.co.uk/ or Ben jungle all of the plants there would be ok in a terrarium.
  12. which plants

ummm ok, have you done any research as that's not recommend at all. Have you kept PDF's before?
  13. which plants

what frogs you planning to get as Bromeliads are a favorite for many off them.
  14. Phyllobates terribilis

great pics, that hard treefern on the back wall.
  15. Site has been updated again to the latest version, will need to sort out the template theme as it has gone funny. I have also paid for the site to remain for another year now. I could really do with some financial support for the running costs. Just want to get people's opinion if members would prefer a donation model or a fixed membership cost per year? let me know your thoughts. thanks Nick
  16. Thought I would share some frog related pics of my recent holiday since I still don't have any frogs Blue Jeans & Habitat Pics When we fist arrived we did a 2 day white water rafting trip with over night stay in a lodge. The whitewater rafting was amazing it's the same location where they filmed part of Jurassic park all primary rainforest you could hear the frogs from the raft going down the river. Where we were staying you could hear all the frogs calling finding them was a lot harder than I though it would be. Males seemed to have a territory about a meter from one another which was bit surprising how close the would call from there perch.
  17. No I didnt I wanted too but it was a bit out of the way from everywhere else we wanted to visit.
  18. Grow out containers

Andy, most people put there young in grow out tubs for easy monitoring and so they don't have to compete with food with the adults. It's up to to you really whatever you prefer.
  19. Mysties are one of those frogs that do have a high SLS rate. I found keeping the water temperature stable helped resolve my SLS issues in the past. Marks comments above I would agree with too.
  20. Sirensis Highland Tadpole to Frog

  23. I have been closely monitoring the site over the last month or so and it’s not looking good I’m afraid. We are getting lots of hits with people reading existing posts and visiting the site but people aren’t willing to post anything unless they have something to sell. We have members that visit the site everyday but haven’t posted for years, we have new members that join just to post items for sale and to avoid coming back to the site put their number or email on the posts. Had one member so quick to joining couldn’t be bothered to scroll down to marketplace section to post there “for sale” post just dumped it at the top and haven’t come back since. This site was never created for my indulgence it's was created for likeminded people to share information and advice and build relationships with others. If the site isn't being used I won't be spending any more of my time and money to keep it up. I have just broken even now so financial I won't have lost anything. From why perspective I have done everything I can to make this site as easy and user friendly as possible I have created how to videos, lifted restrict on uploading images direct into post and increased number of images you can post into the gallery. The site has been updated multiple times to increase its features. On a personal note I have enjoyed read everyone’s posts and discussions but we live in world now where people prefer a cheap “like” rather than a discussion or knowledge share. Please don’t take the above comments as a threat or me being angry; I’m not, I’m just being open and honest with everyone where we stand. If something isn’t being used then there’s no point keeping it, might be time to move on. It’s up to the members on here to decide if they want this site or not. Thanks Nick
